WHO Girls grades 7-12
WHAT A day just for girls to hear stories from women in STEM careers, participate in hands-on activities, network with women peers and mentors, and have fun!

* Hearing from women speakers in STEM careers
* Working in groups to accomplish activities related to STEM topics
* Networking with other women interested in STEM careers

Speaker Bios


Jennifer Schleit
Jennifer is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington in the School of Medicine. She studies how DNA affects diseases.

Laura Grit
Laura graduated from Duke with a doctorate in Computer Science and is now a Principal Technical Program Manager at Amazon.

Serena Loftus
Serena is a PhD student in Accounting at the University of Washington. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010. She once thought she was really bad at math, but now she teaches and does math research!
